My good friend Craig came to Anchorage last week, so we met up with him and went on a hike. Besides the rain and mud and our ghetto summer car almost exploding, it was a lot of fun, and we're glad Elliott got to meet him.
There are mushrooms everywhere here right now, and they're straight out of Alice in Wonderland.

What kind of backpack do you have? Do you like it?
It's a Chicco backpack. I like it, but the belt around the hips sits too high on me, so it doesn't really do anything and all the weight rests on the shoulders. An REI backpack is a lot more comfortable, but more expensive.
Nice pics... I really like the mushroom, especially the first one. You win first prize. Barbara has hops (sorry for using basketball slang on your blog).
